Self Portrait

Self Portrait Triptych

Photo #1: Twirl

Glowing
Everything that glows in this photo is touching me. Therefore it represents me transferring my creative energy into it.
Dark Background
The Background is dark to emphasize what is the most powerful in the photo.
Twirled Decoration
It is twirled around my arm to show how I am wrapped up in creativity.

Photo #2: Why

Faded Clone
The faded clone is doing homework as opposed to the solid clone who is doing art. This shows that I enjoy doing art much more than I do homework.

Photo #3: Instrument

Guitar
The guitar is purely to show my musical talent.
Smile
To show how I enjoy music.

Artist Statement
Before this semester started, I had a very experienced knowledge of photoshop and a basic knowledge of photography. The triptych above tells a small story of my many different forms of creativity in the arts. My favorite aspect of the piece is the glowing twirly thing in "Twirl" The most frustrating thing about the creation of this piece is that in "Why" the camera moved slightly causing the second clone to be off. When people look at my work I would want them to notice my expertise with photoshop. If someone were to look at my piece without knowing who I am, I believe the would look at me as a creative mind. If I could change anything about this piece it would have been my procrastination. I would have given myself much more time to think out each picture. As I look at this piece, I would like to change some of the angles of the camera.
